Areas of concern for watershed protection Texas Stream Team is a network of trained citizen monitors and supportive partners working together to gather information about the natural resources of Texas and to ensure the information is available to all Texans. The Drainage Department dispatches a Street Sweeper on a schedule that takes. Step 1: Use the map or the search tool to identify an area of interest. At zoom level 8 or greater State/Region selection will be enabled. Step 2: You have zoomed in sufficiently to select a state or regional study area. Your selection will dictate the data used to perform basin delineation and flow statistics calculation.

The first level of classification divides the Nation into 21 major geographic areas, or regions. These geographic areas contain either the drainage area of a major river, such as the Missouri region, or the combined drainage areas of a series of rivers, such as the Texas-Gulf region, which includes a number of rivers draining into the Gulf of Mexico. Drainage areas for all Indiana streams having a drainage area of at least five square miles were determined. Drainage areas at many other points, including entry and exit points for larger streams crossing the Indiana border, were also determined. Table 1 lists over 7, drainage area determination points. Refer to the Abstract / Introduction.

Chapter Storm Drains Anchor: #i Section 1: Introduction Anchor: #i Overview of Urban Drainage Design. The objective of urban storm drainage is to optimize safe passage of vehicle traffic by collecting stormwater from the roadway, and to convey it safely to an adequate receiving body without undue risk to pedestrian traffic or contributing to damage of adjacent . Your resident experts for flood management and stream preservation. Mile High Flood District is your trusted resource for stormwater and watershed management. Since , we have been designing and building effective flood control and warning measures, open spaces, and regional paths, as well as removing trash and debris in our streams.

Edwards Aquifer Data. The term "drainage area" is defined as the land area where precipitation falls off into creeks, streams, rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. It is a land feature that can be identified by tracing a line along the highest elevation between two areas on a map, often a ridge.

Drainage areas are determined by tracing all of the water bodies flowing into the stream or river upstream of the proposed site.

A divide or ridge surrounds every drainage Size: KB. DRAINAGE CRITERIA MANUAL FOR MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TEXAS November presented to Montgomery County by -". ~.' Dodson & Associates, Inc.

Texas ~ () The East Texas Timberlands area comprises about million acres of the forested eastern part of the state. The land is gently undulating to hilly and well dissected by many streams.

Surface drainage is moderate to rapid. This area has many kinds of upland soils but most are deep, light-colored, acid sands and loams over loamy and clayey subsoils.

The basins into which the secondary streams flow. In addition to the principal rivers, Texas has many other streams of various size.

The following list gives a few of these streams as designated by the U.S. Geological Survey, with additional information from the new Handbook of Texas and previous Texas Almanacs. With a drainage area of ab square miles, it is the second-largest river basin in Texas, after the Rio Grande.

It flows directly into the Gulf southwest of Freeport in Brazoria County. Its average annual flow exceeds 6 million acre-feet, the largest volume of any river in the state.
